Posted: 10:08 pm EST November 24, 2010

It wouldn't be Turkey Day with out some pig skin, especially in Easton and Phillipsburg. The two schools will clash on the football field for the 104th time tomorrow. But on "Thanksgiving eve" it was all about the fans. "Wouldn't be Thanksgiving without it," said one fan. Thousands of people out showing support for their favorite school. On one side the Red Rovers of Easton, where many call it a family affair. "They're fun because of the excitement, the warmth, and just the experience to be around all the people," said Jerry Thomas a 1963 Easton grad. "Everybody's getting together as a group, as a community everybody is supporting Easton football," said Easton football fan, David Calldwell. Just across the Delaware River the P-Burg Stateliners show their spirit and say the four year losing streak stops this year. "It's just an amazing feeling being a part of the tradition. Easton is going to have it coming tomorrow. We're going definitely to beat them tomorrow," said Phillipsburg student Zach Fish. The annual game has taken place for 104 years. The players say they love all the support, but now it's time to prove who is better on the gridiron. While the players aren't saying much, "we got it this year. That's all I got to say, We got it this year," said Phillipsburg football player Jordan Jackson. The fans are "Easton!" one fan shouted, "Go P-burg, Go P-burg," said another. Copyright 2010 WFMZ.
