President Pardons Turkeys

President Obama spent this Thanksgiving eve pardoning some poultry! ''As president of the United States, you are hereby pardoned from the Thanksgiving dinner table,'' said Mr. Obama. Wednesday, the President pardoned "Apple" and its alternate "Cider." The turkeys will be taken to George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens. The president is also helping out families in need this holiday. He donated two turkeys to a Washington organization that helps feed and clothe those in need. The fully-dressed bird were given to the president by Jaindl Farms, which is based in North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. Copyright 2010 WFMZ. All rights reserved.
